A recent logo design job I got was from Overwatchr, looking for a new logo. Add this to your logo ideas! Moreover, this logo design incorporates both the eye and the shield to signify security. I created a logo that sticks out in a market oversaturated with simple eye designs. Putting extra effort, time, and money into your cyber security firm branding can allow you to expand your business with a logo that consumers will notice and remember.
Every security firm logo should attempt to express two qualities: strength and safety. A great logo communicates your brand’s values to the world, helps potential customers understand if your product is right for them, and helps potential customers remember your brand. Color, form, and other design aspects in logos express all of this. Find out how to make your cyber security logo tell a narrative about your company.
You can be confident that if you pick the proper logo design partner for your security firm, you will have a powerful brand image that instills trust and confidence in potential clients. People assess a company by its logo, which is why a security firm should concentrate on creating a unique security logo design.
Cyber Security Logo Request
The client filled out a logo questionnaire and provided all the details required to produce a logo they loved. Some of the imagery they wrote down was an owl, a shield, an eye and a watchtower. In my initial sketches I took these images into account. Most importantly, seen in my sketches, I relied heavily on the words provided. Since this is a cyber security logo design, it was important to portray a sense of strength. Therefore security, safety and something that is watching and protecting is important.
The choice of colour came from their website which was already up and running. The colour gradient I chose starts at a dark blue, then gradually turns into a lighter blue. In colour theory, using blue can ‘represent calmness and responsibility‘. Light blues are refreshing and friendly, while dark blues are more reliable and strong. I think these colours, based on those attributes, were the perfect ones for this logo. As a Cyber Security logo, being friendly but reliable is a perfect combination in the branding.
Cyber Security Logo Feedback
After creating these logos, I sent them to the client. The initial feedback was not a good one. They felt that these logos were not strong enough for their brand. A cyber security logo needed to be more unique among the many. Also, the client replies on how the logos looks like they were “pulled from the internet”, were taken into account. As a result, it was tough to reassure the client that we could do this job. As a result, my colleague managed to get them back on board. Consequently, once I received this feedback from the client I moved onto 2 more logos and ultimately created a logo the company Overwatchr now use on their website.
